Learn different types of tortillas, sauces and toppings to make your next taco night an adventure. Tacos continue to be such a huge trend with endless variety. Chef Shelly will prepare three kinds of tacos, including fish, chicken and beef varieties.
Preserve your harvest! This beginning canning class will provide the basic skills to get started on your canning journey. Learn the benefits of canning, canning equipment and supplies, preparing your food for canning, and observe a water bath canning demonstration. Lastly, sample sweet and savory canned jams, jellies and salsas you’ll now be ready to create at home!
This is a Wisconsin Department of Justice sanctioned course designed to give you all the pertinent facts and information on carrying a concealed weapon in the state of Wisconsin. This course will cover all legal aspects in the use of deadly force, as well as weapons safety, handling and storage. Upon completion of this training, you will receive a proof of training certificate that will assist you in applying for a concealed carry permit in Wisconsin. There will be no live fire in this class. Please note: If you drop the class prior to the class beginning you are eligible for a 100% refund, but no refunds will be made if you fail to drop the class prior to the class beginning.
Take a time machine back to three classic recipes created the Chef Shelly way! Chef Shelly will demonstrate Chicken Broccoli Divan Casserole, a Wedge Salad with Chunky Ranch and Bacon, and a Pineapple Upside Down Cake for dessert. Students will sample the dishes and take home the recipes.
Providing the CCW holder with methods to effectively fight in or around a vehicle, this course is designed to teach a CCW holder how to survive a lethal encounter. Instructed by Law Enforcement Academy instructors, course will enhance your knowledge of a deadly force incident. Tactical live fire component. All participants must bring proof of a valid CCW permit or HR218 credentials from Wisconsin or a reciprocal state. Prerequisite: Civilian Tactical 1 (60-504-608), Civilian Tactical 2 (60-504-608A) and Civilian Tactical 3 (60504608B).
Take your grilling skills to the next level as our Chef shares expert techniques for grilling & smoking. This demonstration class will include the preparation and tasting of a variety of foods, so let’s get ready to “kick the tires and light the fires!
Provides an exercise program designed for people with arthritis and other chronic pain. Students learn a series of exercises and activities designed to increase mobility, maintain/increase muscle strength, and build overall stamina and increase muscle function. Students should consult with a physician before starting any exercise program.
Photograph dramatic locations including waterfalls, canyons and rock formations. Class covers advanced camera techniques on filters, capturing water motion, and achieving dramatic plant and landscape images. Class is designed for students who already understand the operation of their camera. Additional supplies and expenses required for transportation and meals.
Provides the opportunity for students of all skill levels to develop their painting techniques and receive individual assistance with their work. Projects will consist of painting on canvas, stepping stones, saw blades and other mediums. An additional supply fee is required.
Load your Larder! A properly stocked pantry is key to having food security while saving money. Students will learn how to plan a pantry to fit any size and budget and learn about making cake mixes, seasoning blends, and starters for any dish.
