Provides an exercise program designed for people with arthritis and other chronic pain. Students learn a series of exercises and activities designed to increase mobility, maintain/increase muscle strength, and build overall stamina and increase muscle function. Students should consult with a physician before starting any exercise program.
Focuses on low-impact pool exercises to firm muscles and ease the movement of joints. The exercise routines are choreographed to music.
YinYasa is a powerful mix of two different styles of asana (yoga postures). It blends the Yin style of long held passive poses with the dynamic, yang style of Vinyasa (flow). Typically a Yin practice is best done on a "cold" body and stresses your connective tissue to promote health of your joints and ligaments. This class will begin with Yin encouraging a relaxed state of mind, and after a few long held poses the class will move into a flow to strengthen and invigorate the body.
Focuses on the use of yoga to improve chronic stress patterns in the body, build muscle and joint flexibility, and relax the mind and body.
Inspired by Latin and International Rhythms–ZUMBA–will help tone the body to achieve a balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. You can be of any fitness level and do NOT have to know how to dance to succeed at ZUMBA.
