Gives instruction for advanced partner dance steps including the East Coast swing, jitterbug and cha-cha. Must sign up with a partner and both must pay registration fee. Ballroom/Social Dance or prior dance experience recommended.
Provides an exercise program designed for people with arthritis and other chronic pain. Students learn a series of exercises and activities designed to increase mobility, maintain/increase muscle strength, and build overall stamina and increase muscle function. Students should consult with a physician before starting any exercise program.
Beginners learn how to establish a meditation practice, experienced meditators learn strategies for deepening and broadening meditation practice. With this expanded view of meditation, students will learn how to bring mindfulness to daily life, strengthen their ability to be present to what is happening in their mind and body with acceptance, meet experiences within, and around them with clarity.
Focuses on the use of yoga to improve chronic stress patterns in the body, build muscle and joint flexibility, and relax the mind and body.
