Designed for riders who already possess basic riding skills and are either returning to riding or are seeking a refresher course to practice and renew basic riding skills. The course includes approximately three hours of classroom and five hours of on-cycle riding exercises, with the student providing their own bike. Participants will learn to ride defensively and to maneuver around obstacles. Students will receive a waiver that entitles them to a motorcycle license if they pass the skills tests at FVTC and the written test at the DMV
Designed for Hazardous materials (H) endorsement applicants seeking an H endorsement, as defined in § 383.93(c)(4). Provides curriculum for driver-trainee to operate commercial motor vehicles used in the transportation of hazardous materials (HM) as defined in § 383.5. Must complete this curriculum in order to take the state-administered knowledge test for the H endorsement.
Designed for individuals who have an interest in motorcycles but have never ridden. This first-touch experience focuses on learning the motorcycle’s primary parts and controls. This course will not teach riding skills; however, it will help you to determine whether motorcycling is a good personal choice.
Learn the fundamentals of safe and responsible motorized cycle riding including the knowledge and skills that lead to licensing and successful motorcycle/scooter operation. The course consists of online coursework and on-motorcycle/scooter instruction and is designed primarily for beginners, but experienced riders who want to learn more about safety strategies and tactics will also benefit. Students will receive a waiver that entitles them to a motorcycle license if they pass the skills tests at FVTC and the written test at the DMV. This course covers Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) information, basic operation, vehicle review, and operating guidelines of the passenger endorsements of a class B type commercial motor vehicle. This course meets the mandated Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements in accordance to Title 49 Part 380 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

Encourages students to examine and change their driving habits, attitudes and life styles to improve their ability to safely operate a motor vehicle. Development of a Personal Change Plan will be emphasized. Students can gain a 3-point reduction on their driving record upon course completion.
