Designed for Hazardous materials (H) endorsement applicants seeking an H endorsement, as defined in § 383.93(c)(4). Provides curriculum for driver-trainee to operate commercial motor vehicles used in the transportation of hazardous materials (HM) as defined in § 383.5. Must complete this curriculum in order to take the state-administered knowledge test for the H endorsement.
This course covers Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) information, basic operation, vehicle review, and operating guidelines of the passenger endorsements of a class B type commercial motor vehicle. This course meets the mandated Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements in accordance to Title 49 Part 380 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
