Motorcycle/Scooter Rider Course - 16 HR

Learn the fundamentals of safe and responsible motorized cycle riding including the knowledge and skills that lead to licensing and successful motorcycle/scooter operation. The course consists of classroom and on-motorcycle/scooter instruction and is designed primarily for beginners, but experienced riders who want to learn more about safety strategies and tactics will also benefit. Students will receive a waiver that entitles them to a motorcycle license if they pass the skills tests at FVTC and the written test at the DMV. Students must attend all classroom and range sessions. Completion of the WI State required Motorcycle Safety Foundation e-Course is needed prior to attending this class. The link to the e-Course is located on our program website www.fvtc.edu/motorcycle. The e-Course fee of $19.99 is in addition to the FVTC course fee. You must present a copy of your e-Course completion certificate to your instructor on the first day of class.
The first day is classroom only. Supplies you will need for the second day are: sturdy boots or high top athletic shoes covering your ankles, long denim or heavy material pants without holes, and long sleeved jacket/shirt. Dress in layers to allow for varying weather conditions. Have rain gear for inclement weather, eye protection and full finger gloves. You may bring your own 3/4 to full-size helmet but it must be DOT, Snell or ANSI approved, otherwise FVTC can supply a helmet. For further information go to www.fvtc.edu/motorcycle.
