Establishes a foundation in the German language presenting everyday situations. It focuses on vocabulary building, basic grammar, word recognition and usage, conversation, and understanding of culture and tradition.
Expands on fundamentals of German grammar and communication addressed in German 2 and further develops learners' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Enables students to learn how to effectively engage in work-related communication and introduces German for special purposes. Completion of German 2 or consent of instructor is required.
