Teaches and evaluates two-rescuer CPR, one-rescuer CPR, obstructed airway technique for the adult/child/infant, adult/child Automated External Defibrillator (AED), pocket mask and Bag Valve mask. Students receive an American Heart Association Healthcare CPR card with two-year certification.
Provides instruction in various basket weaving techniques including twill weaving, triple wailing and braiding. The focus is on how to achieve a well-constructed basket.
Learn to capture and preserve personal and family history in a clear, meaningful way—without feeling overwhelmed. This three-hour, hands-on workshop (with a two-hour virtual follow-up) helps adults build a family story using a simple timeline as a foundation. Students don’t need to be a writer or tech expert. If students can send an email, they will have all the computer skills needed to use the simple AI tools introduced in this class. The focus is on practical steps to move beyond names and dates and tell real stories—family relationships, faith, challenges, and everyday life. This is about starting—and creating something your family will value. Every life holds a story worth saving.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are registering someone other than yourself, you will need to use the participant’s information to create an account and register. Teaches the babysitter how to deal with crying, tantrums, bedtime issues, how to provide a safe environment and first aid emergencies. Infant/Child CPR and choking are also taught. Students receive a certificate of completion.
Load your Larder! A properly stocked pantry is key to having food security while saving money. Students will learn how to plan a pantry to fit any size and budget and learn about making cake mixes, seasoning blends, and starters for any dish.
No need to travel to learn how to make good pasta! Students will watch a demonstration on how to make spaghetti, pappardelle, and ravioli at home. Samples of pasta and sauces are provided.
Provides instruction on image capture strategies, camera settings, lens choices, composition, and basic lighting, as well as the people skills necessary to capture great images. This class will include guided field trips and classroom photo sessions. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.
Teaches the basics of meeting and greeting, pronunciation and fundamentals of Spanish sentence structure. Useful words and expressions will boost ability and confidence to communicate in Spanish. Culturally relevant topics will be covered. No previous Spanish language experience needed.
