Teaches and evaluates two-rescuer CPR, one-rescuer CPR, obstructed airway technique for the adult/child/infant, adult/child Automated External Defibrillator (AED), pocket mask and Bag Valve mask. Students receive an American Heart Association Healthcare CPR card with two-year certification.
Spend a morning on the farm! In this course, you’ll learn about keeping chickens, ducks and turkeys. Topics covered will include benefits of raising backyard poultry, legal considerations, basic care, and health and biosecurity. You’ll also observe a demonstration of safe poultry handling, feeding and watering routines, and observing for illness.

Teaches the babysitter how to deal with crying, tantrums, bedtime issues, how to provide a safe environment and first aid emergencies. Infant/Child CPR and choking are also taught. Students receive a certificate of completion. If you are registering someone other than yourself, you will need to use the participant’s information to create an account and register.
This science of psychology course is a survey of multiple aspects of behavior and mental processes. It provides an overview of topics such as research methods, theoretical perspectives, learning, cognition, memory, motivation, emotions, personality, abnormal psychology, physiological factors, social influences, and development.
Focuses on developing effective listening techniques and verbal and nonverbal communication skills through oral presentation, group activity, and other projects. The study of self, conflict, and cultural contexts will be explored, as well as their impact on communication.
Provides instruction on image capture strategies, camera settings, lens choices, composition, and basic lighting, as well as the people skills necessary to capture great images. This class will include guided field trips and classroom photo sessions. Photographers of all skill levels are welcome.
Preserve your harvest! Pressure canning is a safe and economical way to preserve low-acid foods to savor all year long. In this course, students will learn the benefits of preserving meats and vegetables as well as how to control the quality of food storage. Students observe a pressure canning demonstration and sample canned meats, vegetables and soups.
