This class focuses on the basic techniques for designing and creating quilts, runners, wall hangings or home decorating. Students will learn how to measure and cut fabric, piece and machine sew. You may bring a project you would like help with. Sewing and Quilting Supply List: 1. Rulers: 6” or 6 ½ “rectangle or square 2. Rotary Cutter 3. Cutting Mat 4. Seam ripper 5. Scissors 6. Stickpins (quilt type work best) 7. Your sewing machine with its manual, accessories and cords. (there are machines in class to use also) 8. 100% Cotton material, Fat quarters, Charm Pack (you may already have these at home) I will have some material to work with also. You can pick these up after you have a project/s in mind from the handouts on the first day. 9. Thread to match material (regular machine quilting, not hand quilting thread) 10. A sack lunch/snack. Instructor will bring ironing board, iron and multi plug electric outlets when needed. There will be several projects on hand outs that you may choose to do. Because there is a minimum number of students needed to hold class, hold onto your receipts for returns until you have been assured that the class is running.

Tote Bag materials: - 2 fat quarters or 1/2 yard of cotton fabric. - 18" x 22" plastic screening ( I will bring black screening to sell.) - 1/8 yd accent color to bind by zipper. Scraps from home would work. - 25- 36 inches of strapping for handle. -22 inch or larger plastic zipper. (New or used). Matching thread, seam ripper, scissor, pins, and rotary cutter.
