Students will complete textbook and online assignments and correspond with the instructor and classmates via the Internet. Students must be proficient with computer and Internet usage. Recommended only for the highly motivated and self-directed student who needs flexibility in his/her schedule. The class will be made available to you on its start date. Login to your online class at www.fvtc.edu/myfvtc, click on the Blackboard link on the start date of the class. Here you will find the instructor contact information, class syllabus and instructions on how to begin the class. Self-directed learning environment with technology and textbooks as the main learning sources. No formal lectures are given but an instructor is present to provide assistance. Students are required to attend their scheduled lab hours until the course has been completed; this is not an open lab. Students may complete coursework more quickly than the suggested timeline.
The cost of the digital resources for this course is included in the cost of the class. As an alternative to purchasing this at the time of enrollment, you may opt out of this process and purchase the resources separately through the bookstore.
